Pre-booking is advisable though be prepared to wait a while at the airport, service is never speedy! Also be aware of extra costs that are charged on collection of the car, the price you pay over the internet when you book the car is only the basic rental, extras such as tax, child seats, permission for additional drivers, extra insurance etc are all charged at the airport itself.
